Flight Crew

Put your skills and aircraft to work for disaster survivors

Join pilots from across the country who’ll fly their own planes to help disaster survivors. Together, we’ll bring the generosity of the aviation community to the people who need it most.

What you'll do

It’s a supply drive, but with wings

The Flight Crew is what we call our volunteer pilots. When a disaster hits, we’ll set up a staging base at an airport nearby and share a list of what our partners on the ground need, like water, hydration, hygiene items, and chainsaws. Like any supply drive, you’ll gather what’s on the list, whether you buy it yourself or rally friends, family, and folks at your home airport to pitch in. Then you’ll load it into your own plane and fly it in.

When you land, you’ll check in at the hangar, and our Ground Crew will unload, sort, and weigh what you brought so it can be distributed to the survivors who need it. You may also be asked to help fly a load of supplies to a forward airfield closer to the hardest-hit communities.

You’ll donate your flying and your fuel, and afterward we’ll send you a written acknowledgment of the flights and supplies you gave, for your tax records.
