For pilots, it can also include information about your flying experience, certificates, and aircraft. If you’re interested in a leadership position, we may ask about your training and background.

We use it to respond to you, to recruit and coordinate volunteers, and to keep you informed about our work, including programs, events, and ways to get involved.

Donor privacy

Online donations are processed securely by Givebutter. We don’t receive or store your full card or bank information, and Givebutter’s privacy policy explains how it handles your payment details. We use donor information to process gifts, send receipts and acknowledgments, keep donors informed about our work, and share future opportunities to give. We do not sell, trade, rent, or share our donor list or donors’ personal information with other organizations. We may recognize donors and sponsors by name in our publications and on our website. If you’d like your gift to remain anonymous, just let us know and we’ll honor that request.

How we share information

We don’t sell or rent anyone’s personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the organization, such as our website and donation platforms, with partner organizations when needed to coordinate a disaster response you’ve signed up for, or when the law requires it.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No way of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as the law requires, such as for donation and tax records.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or delete your information, or opt out of our mailings, emails, or phone calls at any time by contacting us. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.

Links and social media

Our website links to other sites, including our social media pages and our donation platform. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for how they handle your information.

Children

Our website isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
